AC MILAN PRIMAVERA: PLENTY OF POSITIVES

A defeat as bitter as it was undeserved: the Primavera's four-game unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday. Indeed, Juventus ran out winners at Vismara thanks to Da Graca's early goal, but there were many positive things to take from the game, starting from the fact that there are plenty of players born in 2003 who can be relied on. Coach Giunti selected six of them to start against the Bianconeri – Coubis, Obaretin, Kerkez, El Hilali, Nasti and Roback – with N'Gbesso also coming on as a substitute. Every single one of them put in good performances that were up to the standard expected at U19 level.
Looking beyond the result, AC Milan created several opportunities and showed plenty of character right until the very end. At Vismara, we saw a young but brave and bold side, one which is able to compete with all teams in this division.
Nevertheless, the Rossoneri once again struggled in front of goal. They've now scored a total 17 goals in 18 fixtures, and they've only found the net more than once in the same match on five occasions. Doing better in attack is something they'll be looking to add to their game as they aim to get more rewards for good performances.
It's an important step to make as the team look ahead to their next five fixtures, which will be against Torino, Sassuolo, Empoli, Lazio and SPAL. The Diavolo are just four points away from the sixth and final playoff spot currently occupied by SPAL, but the competition is fierce. If they show no fear and continue displaying the same character, they can go far.
