U16: A GREAT FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON

On a roll. Ignazio Abate's Under-16s have maintained their grip on top spot in Group B after nine matchdays. Their run of form has been impeccable until now, with seven wins and two draws, 32 goals scored and just eleven conceded.
Only Atalanta and Hellas Verona - both four points behind - have managed to keep up with the young Rossoneri, who thrashed Cittadella 6-1 in their most recent match and Brescia 6-0 the game before. During this run, they also recorded a 3-1 win in the Derby against Inter.
Abate's debut season as a coach is certainly going well, thanks to a team that is growing and winning week after week. They never give up: the key example of this was the comeback against Verona on matchday 2, from 3-0 down to 4-3 up.
Our 2006 cohort have taken 23 points, are unbeaten and are on a six-game winning streak, all by a margin of two or more goals. We now have the Christmas break and we go again in January away to Vicenza (1-1 in the reverse fixture).
