PRIMAVERA, CONTINUING THE CLIMB IN JANUARY

It was an eventful 2021 for the AC Milan Primavera; first was the restart of the league after the suspension caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the playoff dream, which was curtailed only in the final matchdays. Then, we have the current campaign and the added experience of the Youth League.
The trend as we finish the year is certainly a positive one given the three consecutive wins obtained against SPAL, Sampdoria and Pescara, which rescued an iffy start to the season and the Rossoneri can now focus on climbing up the table.
Giunti's boys are now in twelfth position and only two points separate them from sixth, which is the final playoff place. In general, what is developing is a very even table behind leaders Roma.
As such, the schedule in January will offer the Rossoneri the chance to start the new year on a high; three of their first four games will be played at Vismara: Empoli and Inter at the end of the girone d'andata - that concludes away to Genoa - and then Sassuolo to kick off the girone di ritorno. Plenty of opportunities for the young Rossoneri to continue their rich vein of form.
