Halfway through the season and we're already dreaming of big things for 2022. Coach Terni's Under-18s go into the Christmas break with 15 points from twelve games and one rearranged fixture still to be played (the Derby against Inter). It was a slow start to the season with just one point from their first three matches.
Defeats to Roma and Empoli and a draw with SPAL. The away win over Ascoli (4-1) threw the shackles off for the Rossoneri, who accelerated without ever finishing consistency in their performances.
Some good results to be underlined were the win at home against Verona and the 2-0 victory at Atalanta away. These were clear signs of a team with a lot of quality, which could grow and develop throughout the course of the campaign. After the defeat to Fiorentina to conclude 2021, Terni's side will get going again on 9 January against Torino on the final matchday of the girone d'andata.
In spite of the results, however, our U18s are proving themselves to still be a reliable source of talent for Giunti's Primavera. These players grow in confidence, develop their skills and are then judged game by game.
