PRIMAVERA ARE BACK

The standings have never looked so good. AC Milan's Primavera picked up one of the most important victories of the championship so far, beating Sassuolo at home (1-0), overtaking them and above all coming even closer to the playoff zone, now really within reach (now only one point away). A mature and promising performance which also meant that in just one weekend the Rossoneri have gained five positions and overall points compared to opponents insight such as Sampdoria, Inter, Fiorentina, Atalanta, Torino and Napoli.

The best way to kick off the second half of the season, the best way to follow up the win in Bologna. The game-winner was scored by Traorè at the end of the first half, a quality goal at the end of an excellent offensive passage of play orchestrated by Nasti, who has transformed into the team's new assist provider. Marco remains the team's talisman, followed by Chaka, who increased his tally to five goals (his second consecutive match in the goals).

Giunti's Primavera team's purple patch is not all that surprising, the real turning point came after the defeat in Verona at the beginning of last November: from then on, a positive reaction, growth, the right attitude and performances to match it have all followed. It's the awareness of their quality, of being formidable and able to play on equal terms with everyone, that is the real secret: the car runs and does not slow down, regardless of when you play and who you face.

But there's no time for a breather, with a busy schedule and another fixture taking place tomorrow. Matchday 19 will kick off at 13:00 tomorrow with Torino paying a visit to Vismara. And then on Saturday the away match against Roma, at the home of the league leader. Another tough week ahead, which the lads must approach confidently with the usual desire to fight for each other.
