PRIMAVERA, TURNING IT AROUND AGAINST HELLAS

The result in Florence was the continuation of a poor run of form for AC Milan Primavera. The Rossoneri - who are still without striker Nasti and Traorè - were made to pay after Omoregbe missed a crucial chance, only for Toçi to score almost instantly at the other end. Rossi equalised on the half-hour mark but the game took a turn for the worst after the break as Fiorentina stormed to a 3-1 lead (the final score).
This team is struggling away from home and throughout this period have only beaten Lecce. A difficult period following an encouraging start to 2022 should, however, not cause the Rossoneri to lose hope in reaching the playoffs. They remain only four points off the playoff places. Now, Giunti's boys will need to put in a big performance in order to kick-start their final push this season.
From Rossi's goal - his first since December - to Alesi's flashes of skill, the hope is to get back a bit of spark in attack as there were positives to take from the Fiorentina game. As well as the hard work done each day and the necessity to show a good reaction, the schedule could come to the rescue: AC Milan host Hellas Verona at 11:00 CET on Saturday 19 March.
The reverse fixture against Hellas - who are behind AC Milan in the table - was probably the low point of the season for the Rossoneri, who bounced back well following that dismal defeat in Verona. Remembering the past could be key in order to put in a massive performance at Vismara ahead of the break.
