2021 ended in disappointing fashion with two league defeats: 3-0 against Inter at home and 5-2 against Juventus on the road. Since that defeat at Vinovo on 12 December 2021, Coach Ganz’s side haven’t lost a match in the Women’s Serie A.
The team’s Coppa Italia journey came to an end last Sunday at the hands of Juventus. In the league, however, there is still hope that the story can be different, and the schedule has presented the perfect opportunity to get revenge.
Inter v AC Milan will take place at 14:30 CEST on Saturday 7 May, while AC Milan v Juventus is scheduled for 13:30 CEST on Sunday 15 May. A really difficult way to end the season, then. The hope of clawing back the five-point deficit on Roma, who currently sit second, is still alive, although this looks unlikely. However, you must never stop believing.
Two great performances would give the team the chance to end their season in the best way possible and make up for the heavy losses at the end of last year. It won’t be easy, of course, but a great opportunity awaits.
