She entered history books on the same day as the Rossonere's 3-0 victory in the derby. It was a magical day, on Saturday, especially for our very own Laura Fusetti, who became the first player in AC Milan’s history to reach the mammoth milestone of 100 appearances for the Club.
Laura has been ever-present in the recently founded, but already illustrious history of the women's First Team, having played so many important games for the team. She has always proved to be a focal point at the heart of AC Milan’s defence. A real stalwart, season after season.
Serie A (76), Coppa Italia (19), Italian Super Cup (3), Women's Champions League (2): Fusetti has played her part in all official competitions, in which AC Milan have featured. As part of a defence that just recently set a Club-record streak of twelve consecutive clean sheets after shutting out the Nerazzurre in the derby (with the possibility of further enhancing this, on the last day against Juventus), her leadership and character have been nothing short of incredible.
Laura commented on the historic milestone after the victory over rivals, Inter: "Of course, making your 100th appearance on derby day is a special feeling. We wanted to play well and rectify the poor result earlier on in the season. I'm delighted, it's a huge honour. I hoped to reach the milestone because I am so proud to have represented this Club for four years. It's great to be the first to reach this milestone."
