UNDER 15, NOW FOR THE FINAL

Two 1-0 wins over Roma saw AC Milan U15s qualify for Scudetto final. Just like their Coach requested, the team produced two solid, attentive and courageous performances, and now they have the chance to play for the title this weekend. At Vismara, Camarda’s finish at the start of the second half swayed the tie in the Rossoneri’s favour. Then, Sala’s late goal in Rome put it to bed.

Coach Bertuzzo was very pleased with the attitude displayed by his side: “Today’s match was emblematic of the long journey we’ve been on this season. We were up against a very strong team who caused us problems in spells, but we gave as good as we got. We also managed to score at the end and, in doing so, put the game to bed. The fact that we remained focused throughout and maintained excellent distances on the pitch meant that our opponents weren’t able to play their game.”

It will soon be time for the last act of a season that has seen the Diavolo finish top of Group B (41 points from 18 matches) and overcome Udinese, Frosinone and Roma in the playoffs. “We’re delighted that we’ve made it this far with these lads. We’ve achieved this thanks to their tenacity and desire. These games help the boys to grow, regardless of the result. They gain a lot from these experiences,” added the Coach.

AC Milan will face Fiorentina in the final at the Stadio della Vittoria in Tolentino, with the Viola having defeated Bologna 2-1 at home in the semis following a draw in the first leg. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:00 CEST on 24 June.
