It was 31 July 2021 and Olivier Giroud was made his debut in an AC Milan shirt 15 minutes after the start of the second half against Nice at the Allianz Riviera. The Rossoneri were a goal down (Gouiri, pen.) and it took Oli just five minutes of football to score his first goal for his new Club. Subbed on in the 60th minute, goal in the 65th, heading home from Castillejo's cross.
Less than a year later, the first goal of the summer friendlies was scored by him. At the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne, Oli's goal came in the 16th minute and added another gem in the 36th minute.
2022/23 at Milanello began with a joint training session with Lemine Almenno, in which Giroud did not take part. The Frenchman also didn't take part in the two friendlies against Pro Sesto and Modena at the start of 2021/22. But, he struck at the first opportunity, and he also rounded off the summer friendlies last year with a brace against Panathinaikos at Trieste's Stadio Nereo Rocco.
From one brace to another, another new season has been inaugurated by our number 9, who also has a knack for scoring goals. He has picked up where he left off, scoring and helping the team.
