A RENEWED SOLIDITY

The convincing victory in Parma brought with it more than just three points in the table for Coach Ganz's Rossoneri. The first clean sheet of the season came at the Tardini. After the improvement shown against Sassuolo at the PUMA House of Football, here is more proof of new-found defensive stability, from which the whole team can only benefit.

"If you have confidence at the back, then you can also be more relaxed and carefree in attack," were the words of Laura Fusetti on the eve of the last match. And so it was. The constant focus of the Rossoneri defence allowed our forwards - but not only them - to create numerous opportunities to hurt Parma. From Bergamaschi's opener to Kamila Dubcová's sealing goal, even two defenders such as Thrige Andersen (in goal) and Soffia came forward with continuity.

The Rossoneri goal now has a feeling of security. In these first four match days, in fact, Laura Giuliani has often played a leading role. Against Fiorentina and Roma she kept her team alive, against Sassuolo and Parma she secured the victory. From decisive saves to game-saving stops, Laura has managed to restore compactness to the Rossoneri defence, which knows it has a thoroughly reliable goalkeeper behind it.

Even during the away match in Parma, where few chances were granted to the opponents, Laura was always attentive and responsive - in particular with a triple save in the final quarter of an hour - bringing home a well-deserved clean sheet that gives courage and confidence for the remainder of the season.
