In addition to Pioli's first team and Bertuzzo's Under-15s, there is another AC Milan team currently going through its season with a splendid tricolour on its shirt. It is the Under 17 women's team, who on 30 June won a historic Scudetto, the first for a Rossoneri women's team, against Juventus in Cesena.
Many of the key players of that achievement are now part of Coach Corti's Primavera team, in some cases also making the First Team squad. It is a new team, then, starting the new season under the orders of new coach, Fabio Treccani. For the Rossonere, so far, three good victories and a total of 30 goals scored and zero conceded.
"I am very proud to be leading this team and to have this experience. Here I've found an exceptional staff, beyond my imagination", the words of coach Treccani, who replaced Stefano De Martino who went to join Maurizio Ganz's staff. "There is everything necessary to do well, there are the foundations to take a lot of satisfaction: the girls amaze me at every training session for their willingness and commitment."
"It's been almost two months and the road is the right one. We have to work on us every week, also to increase our experience with the future in mind," concludes the coach. Of note, so far, is the goal-scoring verve of Beatrice Lupatini and Annais Stendardi, respectively 8 and 7 goals scored in the first three days of a season that has definitely got off on the right foot.
