The U16s beat Venezia to extend their unbeaten run and record their sixth victory of the season. Coach Baldo’s side went into the game on the back of a 4-2 success over Cittadella, a match which saw captain Sala take centre stage with a brace. Two weeks later, the Rossoneri once again didn’t disappoint, running out 5-0 winners against the Lagunari thanks to goals from Liberati, Camarda (a brace), Sassi and Albè (on his full debut).

Camarda has now found the net eight times this season, while Liberali, his striking partner, has six goals to his name. These numbers are part of a great team effort: AC Milan have scored 26 and conceded just five, meaning their goal difference stands at +21.

This is a winning group, with many of the team’s players current Italian Champions after triumphing with the U15s last season. The aim of the team, which is full of quality, is to maintain a leading position until the end of the campaign. The Rossoneri currently sit top of Group B, three points ahead of an Atalanta side they beat in October and who got the better of third-place Inter at the weekend. Up next for the Diavolo is a showdown with their cross-city rivals, who they’ll face at 14:30 CET on Saturday 19 November at the PUMA House of Football.

“In terms of our play, it wasn’t the best performance against Venezia,” said Coach Simone Baldo after the latest victory. “We were a bit tense in the first half and struggled. After the restart, we relaxed and managed to take control without giving any more opportunities away.” The Coach then spoke about the team’s upcoming clash against Inter: “It’s a significant game because we’ll be up against one of our direct rivals and we’ll be able to see what point we’re at. We know that the derby is never just an ordinary game, irrespective of how the table is looking. This is why we need to bring out all the energy and enthusiasm required to do well.”
