Sassuolo, Lazio, Parma and Sampdoria. Four victories, zero goals conceded for a Milan women's team that started 2023 as they had finished 2022: with important wins while keeping a clean sheet, results that consolidated their position among the top five in Serie A and ensured passage to the next round in the Coppa Italia, a competition in which the Rossoneri have a positive record (always at least in the semi-finals every season).

The Cup kicks off an important cycle of matches: the quarter-final against Fiorentina, in fact, is sandwiched by high-level fixtures in the championship against Inter and Juventus, all in the space of two weeks. Matches that will test in the best possible way the rediscovered solidity and reliability of the Rossoneri, who appeared in excellent form in the first January outings.

Against Fiorentina, Ganz's team experienced one of the best moments of their season, with a 6-1 win away from home that also marked the return to victory in the league after the missteps against Pomigliano and Como. A match that among other things will see many players, on both sides, face their respective pasts; a challenge that in its short history has not failed to give goals.

The match between Fiorentina and AC Milan is, without doubt, the most 'noble' of the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, with the return leg of each match scheduled for 7-8 February. The winner of the duel between the Viola and Rossoneri will take on the winner of Roma vs Pomigliano in the semi-finals, while the Juventus vs Chievo Verona and Inter vs Sampdoria fixtures will take place on the other side of the draw. These semi-finals will be played in the coming months, when Serie A will also have moved on to the Scudetto and Salvation.
