The Rossonere's first outing of the season, useful to put minutes in the legs and refine the understanding between teammates, has already led to the first success. The friendly test against Merano ended with a score of 3-1 in favour of Coach Ganz's team, and has already provided important cues and indications, especially regarding the rapid acclimatisation of some new faces of this summer. First of all, the long-awaited return to the field - confirmed by the first goal with the Rossoneri jersey - of Rimantė Jonušaitė, who scored a real striker's goal.

The Lithuanian opened the scoring after just three minutes of play, converting an assist from Christy Grimshaw, in commanding fashion, with a left-footed shot at the near post. "The last two seasons have been complicated, I have had to work so hard both mentally and physically to get back on the pitch, I have been waiting for this moment for so long," Jonušaitė said after the match. "I cannot explain how happy I am to be here with my teammates and to be able to wear this jersey. Finally I can cheer, scoring my first goal in Rossoneri is a great feeling".

In the second half, Vigilucci's scoring streak extended the lead: Valery's brace came with two angled headers, both from Dubcová assists. Three rossonere newcomers who made their debut on Saturday: Matilde Copetti between the posts, Julie Piga on the back line and Emelyne Laurent in the front three. They all showed that they have already integrated, putting in the desire and personality to assert themselves. Like them also some young talents in their last year in the Primavera: Giulia Semplici, Erin Cesarini and Nadine Sorelli, who will have time and opportunities at their disposal to grow and establish themselves at the highest level.
