UNDER 18: DOUBLE COMEBACK FOR THE LEAD

Christian Terni's Under-18 side has found another good result with the win away at Cagliari, a passionate and delicate game, and currently sits in the top spot. For the young Rossoneri, it's their second away victory in a row after the game against Sampdoria, another 3-2 scoreline, and their 4th victory in 6 games since the start of the season. Having matured since the derby defeat to Inter, the team has had a series of good results, winning 10 of the 12 points available. 

They reacted with character and personality, the same important factors that helped them come back against Cagliari, with goals from Lamorte and Siman who bagged a brace. This generation of young Rossoneri is flying at a great pace after the intense start to the season, with the Primavera rankings that look the same for the U18s. The table is still very tight, but the journey of Terni's group looks promising.

Something important to note in the conversation around the performance and experience on the pitch is the fact that the first 12 goals of the season came from 7 different goalscorers. The goals from Cagliari (Lamorte and Siman) can be added to a list that already includes Martinazzi, the current top goalscorer with 3, Liberali, Perina, De Bonis and Paloschi. Coach Terni has stated: "Almost three months into the season, the squad has a firm identity when they head out onto the pitch. We have almost reached a full mutual understanding, but we can say that we are satisfied with the growth of some of the players. The aim is for everyone to be able to show clear progress, thanks to the tools and knowledge that we are capable of exploiting".

The Rossoneri coach continued: "The league has significantly improved, it has become very competitive. We will face difficult opponents, and it will be necessary for the squad to put in good performances to also be competitive". October will finish with a home fixture against bottom-of-the-table Frosinone, another chance for the Rossoneri to improve.
