The period of growth for our youngsters is continuing and getting back up with great results. Giovanni Renna's Under-17s got back from the break and extended their brilliant run of form as they came from behind to thump Como by six goals to one on matchday 7.
The young Rossoneri now have a tighter grip on top spot on 21 points, which 30 goals scored (over four per game) and just four conceded. On the scoresheet against the Lariani: Lontani (hat-trick), Ossola (brace) and Batistini.
With many players already featuring regularly for Abate's Primavera - players of the calibre of Camarda, Sala and Liberali - our Under-17s are fulfilling their potential, confirming the hard work done on a daily basis at the PUMA House of Football and the margins' growth of this side.
And the standings at this early stage certainly reflect the strength of the Rossoneri, who have already garnered a tidy lead: second-place Verona are seven points behind our boys. Up next, Renna's team are away at Cagliari and are hoping to extend this brilliant run even further.
