PLAYER PROFILE: VITTORIO MAGNI

A youngster in full growth. Vittorio Magni is one of the top players playing for the Primavera, a reliable player who is getting a lot of space and earning credit for a career that has just begun and, he is already a promising player. Born in 2006, from Milan, last summer he signed his first professional contract and will come of age next season. Meanwhile, the most important months will be missed in which to continue running in search of team goals.

Vittorio has been in the spotlight since the match against Genoa, scoring the goal for the Primavera to make it 1-1. An easy tap-in into an empty net after the goalkeeper's exit, every goal counts and for a full-back it is rare to be in that position, at the exact place at the right moment, believing in Sala's cross. It seemed like the Primavera deserved to bring home at least one point in the final of a complicated match, but then the blue and reds overtook the Rossoneri. A pity, but it remains his first goal in the league; the second of the season, after the one in December against Empoli in the Coppa Italia.

There is a fundamental detail to underline in the performances, especially in the role. Mister Abate is almost always fielding him on the left flank, despite having his right foot as his preferred foot. Used to operating on the right, in the Under-17s in the previous season and also in the U19 National Team, he moved by choice and necessity considering the difficulty of depriving himself of Bakoune and the promotion of Jiménez: a demonstration of great trust from the coach, with Magni who repaid his coach by seizing the opportunity and discovering a new position.

Of this, and not only, we spoke directly in the company of Magni in an exclusive interview at Milanello: "This is a good year for me, I don't want to stop; I'm doing specific exercises in training to improve. We're a healthy group with potential". These are days of hard work, of attention to detail, of waiting for the derby on Saturday 24 February, when at 13:00 CET at the PUMA House of Football the big match will take place. In the first leg, it ended in a draw, the Rossoneri are in the playoff zone and will face the league leaders in search of a coup that would have enormous weight and significance within a delicate period.
