PLAYER PROFILE: ANGELICA SOFFIA

Angelica Soffia has rekindled her light. In her second season as a Rossonere player, the player born in 2000 is finally finding the run of games she has been searching for: in terms of playing time, and quality and consistency of performances. After the adventure in the Coppa Italia, which ended in the semi-finals against Roma, the team's season now shifts full focus onto the Relegation Round.

Eight matches that will help the group regain confidence, continuity of results and lay the foundations for the future. It is a finale in which Angelica will try to follow up on the good things she has done in recent months. In Coach Corti's defensive four, she has played both on the right and left and, above all, has seen her getting more minutes on the pitch: eleven appearances in 14 games since November, seven as a starter and four as a substitute.

Since her time with Roma, flexibility has always been one of her strong points, thanks to speed, dynamism and a real spirit to be available and adapt. Not only at full-back, she has also been able to provide high levels of performance as a winger in midfield and, when necessary, in the attacking front three. After having developed a lot behind experienced players, such as Bergamaschi and Guagni, she has carved out her own space and wants to do prove herself even more.

A few days before the opening match against Pomigliano, Angelica has the right motivation to write a different season finale together with her teammates. With the generosity and belonging that distinguishes her, Soffia will try to play a major part in these last eight matches of the season. Aware of the importance that these commitments represent, the Rossonere player spoke exclusively to us: "We hope to have something to show for our campaign from here on in. We will have to fight and it will be very important to find that mean streak in us again; this phase of the season will prepare and form us for the future. We are AC Milan and we must demonstrate that we are back on the right track."
