WOMEN'S TEAM: A WORK BREAK

The Rossonere's season kicked off with a defeat away to Como. It was an unfortunate match, and the result didn’t do justice to our girls, who certainly deserved a different outcome given their performance on the pitch. However, the setback in Seregno is already behind them, and now Bakker's Rossonere has two weeks of rest and intense work ahead.

The next league opponent is Fiorentina, who finished third in the last championship and has qualified for the current Women's Champions League. Our Women's First Team will look to restart their season at home at the PUMA House of Football, determined to bounce back and write a new chapter, building on the positive signs that emerged in their Serie A opener, despite the final result.

During these two weeks of rest, our players will play a friendly match at the PUMA House of Football. The game is scheduled for Saturday, 7 September at 14:30 CEST against Zurich. Admission is free with a ticket reservation on Vivaticket. Keep an eye on the AC Milan Women Instagram profile in the coming days for a special initiative that might bring some surprises.

Zurich also brings back fond memories for Rossoneri fans, as we played our first-ever Women's Champions League match against the Swiss team. We won 2-1 at the Letzigrund Stadion, with a brace from Valentina Giacinti. While Saturday’s match is just a friendly, it will be another opportunity to build fitness, foster team chemistry, and continue growing.
