WOMEN'S U12, SEASON OF CONSTANT DEVELOPMENT

The 2024/25 season for the Women's U12 team comes to a close with a prestigious achievement: qualification for the National Finals, scheduled to take place in Coverciano on 14 and 15 June. This result highlights the development journey of the young Rossonere, who had a demanding campaign that they approached with enthusiasm and team spirit. Guided by Coach Andrea Zatelli, the girls proved their quality both against peers of the same age and in matches against boys’ sides, showing clear improvement step by step.

“The girls started the season with tremendous enthusiasm, showing from the very beginning great commitment and a strong desire to improve,” said Zatelli. “These qualities, which I consider fundamental to our day-to-day work, were present in every moment we shared, contributing to significant growth—both as a group and for each individual player.”

Marking their progress was a long series of fixtures: friendlies, tournaments, league matches, and finally the adventure in the National Finals. Participation in the national round of the tournament, which began in February and ran alongside the boys’ league, proved to be a key moment in the Rossonere’s season. The National Finals will be the culmination of an intense campaign—but above all, a valuable learning experience for all the young Rossonere. Regardless of the result, the journey they’ve taken provides a solid foundation on which to build the future: a united, close-knit group driven by a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for the game of football.

“In addition to their excellent footballing ability, this team has always stood out for its unity, determination, and work ethic,” Zatelli added. “The opportunity to face high-level boys’ teams allowed us to improve every aspect of our game. Qualification for Coverciano is the result of the consistent hard work of a team that has grown together, day by day. The national final is a well-deserved achievement and a testament to the steady progress of a group that has developed collectively, step by step.”
