UNDER-15, CHECK UP AT THE MIDWAY POINT

A review of our Giovanissimi Rossoneri after ten league matchdays

A category always considered "delicate" for every Youth Sector, as it marks the transition from grassroots to competitive football, the Under-15s reached the tenth matchday of the league over the past weekend. The Rossoneri’s form is positive: with their win away at Südtirol, they took the three points after two matches without a win (the derby and Hellas Verona). The 1-0 win in South Tyrol, courtesy of Rossini's goal midway through the first half, allowed Cresta's boys to consolidate second place, two behind league leaders Atalanta and two ahead of third-placed Padova, in an extremely balanced Group B.

The team's record in terms of goals scored (19, the second-highest attack in the group) and goals conceded (7, only behind Inter's 6) is also a positive for a squad that boasts no fewer than 13 different scorers so far this season. Cenedese is leading the charts on three. "With the winter break approaching, it is time to make the first seasonal assessments," said coach Lorenzo Cresta on the eve of the three December matches that will close out the first half of the campaign. "An opportunity to reflect with the players on the journey so far, analyse its key aspects, and set new objectives for the future."

"Under-15s is the first step in competitive football, an important time for the maturation of young players where maximum empathy is required," Cresta continued. "Getting in tune with each of them is the fundamental pillar for building a daily routine of work together, which has a positive impact on all areas of individual and collective development required by our sport, whether technical-tactical, physical, or psychological-relational."

"This approach is allowing us to transmit individual awareness, self-confidence, acceptance of one's own difficulties, and the courage to take risks," concludes the Rossoneri coach. "All these elements are helping us to cement a close-knit group, predisposed to work with cooperative human and sporting values. The volume of training and the performances in official matches confirm the correctness of the direction we have taken, giving us even more reason to be satisfied with our path so far, while at the same time aware that the road ahead is still long, challenging, and full of responsibility."
