Five games, 450 minutes. That's all that remains of Serie A Women 2025/26. These minutes will define a long and intense season for Suzanne Bakker's AC Milan. It's been a campaign of big moments and constant growth in certain aspects. In an ever more even league, with outsiders who have improved, the Rossonere are still in contention for Europe.

Four points separate Grimshaw and Co. from Juventus in third place, which would guarantee a spot in the play-offs in the Women's Champions League (and should they get knocked out, the chance to play in the new Women's Europa Cup). It's a lively battle, because Lazio, Napoli Women, Fiorentina and Como Women are also in the running too. Though Bakker's girls can take confidence in having done the double over Juventus.

Another important point is the head-to-head records, as AC Milan have one over Juventus and Lazio, but are at a disadvantage against Fiorentina and Como Women. And then, there's the remaining fixtures: in their last three games, the Rossoneri have two direct match-ups (against Napoli and in the derby) and also play three games against teams in the relegation battle: Sassuolo, Parma, and Ternana Women. "As a Coach, I clearly see that we've developed both as a team and individually", Suzanne Bakker commented on the Rossonere's recent form.

"We've become more consistent in the way we play, and that's an important step forward. At the same time, it's important to acknowledge that at this moment the number of points we've collected does not reflect the progress we've made", Bakker added. "What matters for us is that we keep working hard every day on the things we can control. From that foundation, we'll continue to build and improve".
