And it's back to the Time Machine for the nineteenth and final away game in Serie A.

It wasn't the Grande Torino, but it was still a great Torino, capable - in 1991/92 - not only of finishing third in Serie A but also reaching the UEFA Cup Final by eliminating a certain Real Madrid. Mondonico on the bench, the likes of Marchegiani, Cravero, and Lentini on the field. In that season, AC Milan had already faced Torino three times, defeating them at San Siro (2-0) and also prevailing in the Quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia (2-0 and 1-1): on 22 April 1992 at the Delle Alpi stadium, a fourth battle was played out.

In the 4-4-2 of Capello's Invincibles, Diego Fuser was not a starter. The boy born in Venaria Reale, a true-born Piedmontese, often found himself on the bench during his second season at AC Milan, a quiet phase of his career. However, in spring, the Rossonero blossomed: in April, he had provided a brace of assists against Sampdoria (5-1) and then another in the derby (1-0). The coach knew he could count on Diego and sent him into the thick of things during the second half, when the home team was trying to protect their 2-1 lead. It was Diego who equalized, on 72'. An instant impact, firing home a right-footed volley just under the crossbar, assisted by Donadoni.

A crucial and precious goal - the fourth of six with our jersey - because four games before the end, it brought the Diavolo closer to the twelfth Scudetto, celebrated in the subsequent away match in Naples. Diego Fuser didn't stop in Turin; he also scored against Lazio and Foggia towards the end of that Serie A season. His career gained momentum, becoming significant in the following stages: especially at Lazio, then Parma, Torino, and Roma; not to mention his presence in the national team (including the European Championship). He became a famous and renowned player in the Italian football landscape.
