    HistoryApril 17th 2026

The first away match of our return leg is one of the most anticipated matches of the entire season. Juventus v AC Milan is one of those matches that brings all football fans to the television, and in the history of football, it is difficult to keep track of memorable confrontations between the Bianconeri and Rossoneri. In our edition of the Time Machine this time, we don't travel that far back in time, as we revisit our last victory at the Juventus Stadium.

While this time it will be the 21st Serie A match, it was the 37th in 2022/23. The penultimate - and, consequently, the last away match of that season - with the chance to seal a place in the Champions League. Not an easy moment for the reigning Italian champions, but sometimes there is nothing better than a big match for redemption in terms of morale and results. All the more so considering the date of the match: 28 May 2023, exactly 20 years after the sweetest and most unforgettable Juventus v AC Milan match in our history. From Manchester to Turin, then, and it was the Rossoneri who create the first chances of the evening at the Stadium. 9 minutes in, Krunić beat everyone at the near post and put the ball just wide. 12 minutes in, Messias challenged Szczęsny with a venomous left-footer. Juventus responded with Di Maria and Chiesa, but the match remained deadlocked, and it seemed clear that a special, memorable moment had to happen to move things along.

That was exactly what happened in the 40th minute, right at the end of the first half. Calabria's cross from the right, Giroud's header from almost the edge of the box, curved around Szczęsny. 1-0, deservedly, for us as we headed into the break. Predictably, the second half saw Juventus on the attack in search of an equaliser. The best chances, though, were for AC Milan: on the 58th minute, a forward run by Theo ended with a last-ditch save on Giroud, and after 71 minutes, Saelemaekers tested Szczęsny after receiving the ball from Oli G himself. The pace dropped as the minutes passed, mainly thanks to Pioli's team controlling the match admirably. The triple whistle sounded with the Rossoneri winning 1-0: the best way to clinch Champions League qualification and to honour a special anniversary.
