TIME MACHINE: TORINO v AC MILAN

From Allegri... to Allegri. We are heading back to Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, a pitch that hasn't treated us well in the past few years. It's a hostile stadium, and we always have to be at our best to take all three points. Let's get ready for the game with a previous fixture, dating back to the 2011/12 season. It was 9 December 2012, Matchday 16, and Allegri's AC Milan had a great game against Gian Piero Ventura's Granata. 

After 15 matchdays, the Rossoneri were not in the best position in the league: seventh place and 21 points, 14 off league-leaders Juventus. After the 2-2 draw with Napoli on matchday 13, Allegri's side beat Juventus at home and Catania away: they were signs of a comeback, and they were then confirmed by the great away win over Torino, sealed mainly at the end of the first period and at the start of the second. After the home side got ahead through Santana in the 28th minute, AC Milan fought back with four goals in just over half an hour of play. Robinho equalised, with a bursting run finished off with a toe-poke that crept under the bar. 1-1 at half-time.

AC Milan were right on top in the second half: in the 53rd minute, Nocerino converted Gillet's unconvincing parry from El Shaarawy's cross. Pazzini then had a solo effort in the 61st minute, with his right-footed effort beating the Granata keeper to make it 3-1 to us. El Sharaawy then topped it all off, he was a real leader at this point of the year, with his 13th goal of the season, making the most of a misunderstanding amongst the home side's defence. Emanuelson then hit the bar and Pazzini hit the post. Ten minutes from the end, Rolando Bianchi drew one back: it finished 2-4 to us.
