Italy’s Under-21 National Team picked up a vital win at the Mapei Stadium on Saturday, beating Belgium 3-1 thanks to goals from Barella, Cutrone and Chiesa. Patrick’s effort was particularly impressive, as he angled in a perfect header from a Pellegrini cross in the 53rd minute. The Azzurrini now finish the group in second place behind Spain, who recently secured an emphatic 5-0 win over Poland. Currently, this latest result isn’t enough for Italy to advance, as they must now await other group stage results to see if they can reach the semi-finals as the best second-placed side.
Meanwhile, Brazil celebrated their progression to the Copa America quarter-finals with a 5-0 win over Peru. Paquetá didn’t feature in the victory.
