PIĄTEK AND KESSIÉ LOSE; WIN AND ASSIST FOR REBIĆ

Results on Friday night were up and down for the Rossoneri players in action with their various countries. Ante Rebić enjoyed an excellent performance as he registered an assist in Croatia’s win over Slovakia in Group E of EURO 2020 qualification. In Trnava, the Croatians won 0-4 with Rebić assisting Perisić for the goal that made it 0-2. Rebić started the match and remained on until the 70th minute.

Elsewhere, it was a night to forget for Krzysztof Piątek’s Poland. The striker was on for 76 minutes as his side fell 2-0 in Ljubljana to Slovenia. He and his team-mate Lewandowski had few chances to make their mark on the game. Despite the defeat, Poland remain top of Group G ahead of EURO 2020.

Franck Kessié’s Cote D’Ivoire lost in a friendly with the Rossoneri’s no.79 playing for the full 90 but he was unable to prevent his side’s defeat to Benin. 1-2 was the final score in Caen, France.

Paolo Nicolato took charge of his first fixture with the Italy Under-21 side and the young Rossoneri player Gabbia featured. Matteo came on for Marchizza in the 76th minute of the match against Moldova with the score already 4-0. The Italy Under-19s drew against the Netherlands with Daniel Maldini on the bench.

Paquetá’s Brazil were also involved in a friendly in Miami, drawing 2-2 against Colombia. Lucas came on in the 83rd minute for Firmino with the score at 2-2.
