There were three wins and one defeat for the Rossoneri players involved in international action on Sunday 8th September. Gigio Donnarumma started for Italy and played the full match as the Azzurri beat Finland in Tampere.
1-2 was the final score with Alessio Romagnoli on the bench. The win sends Italy up to 18 points in Group J of EURO 2020 qualification with a six-point lead over Finland with four matches left.
Suso also started as Spain beat the Faroe Islands by a 4-0 scoreline. Jesús was on for 68 minutes. Like Italy, Spain are top of their group on full points.
Ricardo Rodríguez started and scored as Switzerland beat Gibraltar 4-0. His goal was a powerful and accurate shot across goal from the edge of the area in the third minute of first-half stoppage time to make it 3-0. It was his 67th appearance for Switzerland and seventh goal.
Krunić’s Bosnia and Herzegovina side lost 4-2 to Armenia which sees the Armenians move ahead of them in the table. Rade was on the bench after previously playing 90 minutes against Liechtenstein.
