A WIN FOR BENNACER, DRAWS FOR REBIĆ AND PIĄTEK

The international break is now nearing its end and many of the Rossoneri have now played their second fixture already, both in Euro 2020 qualifiers and in friendlies.

Rebić's Croatia drew 1-1 in Baku in their fifth match of Group E. Having taken the lead with Modrić’s penalty in the 10th minute, Croatia suffered a blow as Azerbaijan responded in the 72nd minute with an equaliser from Khalilzada. Croatia still however remain in top spot on ten points. Our new signing Ante played 86 minutes on the wing in Coach Dalić’s 4-2-3-1 formation. Piątek’s Poland also drew, with their match against Austria in Warsaw ending 0-0. Krzysztof remained on the bench, with “the Eagles” still at the top of Group G on 13 points.

Bennacer's Algeria, champions of Africa, beat Benin 1-0 in a friendly. Ismael was one of the key players in the match in Bilda and played the full 90 minutes in midfield of his Coach Belmadi’s 4-2-3-1 set-up.

Daniel Maldini played the first half for the Italy U-19s in their match against Switzerland in Colorno, with Italy winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Vergani and Ntube. Finally, Mionić was in action for the Croatian U-19s as they lost 4-3 in a thrilling match against Slovenia.
