

International fixtures have begun during this second break of the season. The first Rossoneri players involved were Piątek, Rebić, Bennacer, Paquetá and Gabbia. Only Krzysztof, Ante and Ismaël got playing time.
The Polish striker came on after 60 minutes in Latvia v Poland in the fifth match of EURO 2020 qualification. Poland won 0-3 in Riga thanks to a Lewandowski hat-trick. The three points keep Brzęczek’s side top of Group G with 16 points. In the second half, Piątek missed a chance to score himself. Elsewhere, the Croatian forward played the whole match as Croatia beat Hungary 3-0. All the goals came in the first half through Modrić and Petković (two). In Split, Rebić provided an assist for the second and won a penalty which was missed by Perisić. Dalić’s side remain top of Group E on 13 points.
Bennacer also played for 90 minutes in Blida as Algeria drew 1-1 with DR Congo. Lucas and Matteo were both on the bench for Brazil v Senegal (friendly) and Ireland U-21 v Italy U-21 (EURO 2021 qualifier). Brazil drew 1-1 in Singapore after Diedhiou cancelled out Firmino’s opener while the Azzurrini drew 0-0 in Dublin.
