GOOD RESULTS FOR ITALY AND BOSNIA, SWITZERLAND BEATEN

With three matches to spare, Roberto Mancini's Italy mathematically wrapped up qualification for EURO 2020. The 2-0 win against Greece at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome thanks to goals from Jorginho (penalty) and Bernardeschi was enough. Gigio Donnarumma played the entirety of the match. It was a flawless display with the main highlight being a great reflex save early on from Limnios. In that match, Alessio Romagnoli remained on the bench. The Azzurri will next be in action on Tuesday 15th October in Vaduz against Liechtenstein. 

Still in Italy's group, another Rossoneri player was in EURO 2020 qualifier action and that was Krunić. Rade played for the final 14 minutes for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica against Finland who are second in the group. Goals from Hajrovic, Pjanic (two) and Hodzic allowed Prosinecki's side to win 4-1 and move up to third in the group alongside Armenia and they're now just two points behind Finland who occupy the final qualification spot. 

Finally, Ricardo Rodríguez's Switzerland lost at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, going down 1-0 to Denmark. The Rossoneri man was on for 87 minutes but was unable to influence the final score. On Tuesday, Petkovic's side will be back in action in a direct match-up against the group leaders Ireland.
