Roberto Mancini’s Italy recorded their second win in just a matter of days, making it eight wins from their last eight games as they continued their streak of hot form. The Azzurri won 5-0 against Liechtenstein in Vaduz, with our captain Alessio Romagnoli on the scoresheet after starting the game, heading home Italy’s third goal of the night.
Meanwhile Gigio Donnarumma was on the bench after his start at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico against Greece. Ismaël Bennacer also got 90 minutes and three points as his Algeria came away from the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille with a 3-0 win over Colombia.
Ricardo Rodríguez started for Switzerland in their 2-0 victory over Ireland, although the Rossoneri defender missed a penalty in the 77th minute. Finally, Rade Krunić remained on the bench for Bosnia’s 2-1 defeat against Greece.
