IBRA STILL INSPIRATIONAL, DONNARUMMA UNBEATEN

Sweden and Italy smiling, wins for Kjær's Denmark and Dalot's Portugal U21

During the heart of the international break, it was a very positive Sunday for the Rossoneri away on international duty. Four players were in action yesterday: Ibrahimović, Donnarumma, Kjær and Dalot.

Zlatan, after his return to international football, put in another dazzling display. Sweden beat Kosovo by three goals to nil in Pristina on matchday 2 of World Cup 2022 qualifying. Ibra played 67 minutes, provided a sublime backheel assist for Augustinsson's opener and played the pass into the box for Isak to double the Swedes' lead. Gigio kept another clean sheet as Italy won 2-0 away to Bulgaria. The Azzurri emerged victorious in Sofia thanks to goals from Belottia (pen.) and Locatelli. Simon came on in the 77th minute in Denmark's 8-0 thrashing of Moldova in Herning. Sweden, Italy and Denmark have all taken maximum points (6) in Groups B, C and F respectively.

The group stage of the U21 Euros also continued. Diogo Dalot featured for Portugal against England in Ljubljana, which ended 2-0 thanks to goals from Dany Mota and Trincão. Pierre Kalula was an unused substitute for the second game running as France beat Russia 2-0 (goals from Édouard and Ikoné). With one match to go in the groups, Portugal top Group D on six points and France are second in Group C with three.
