THEO'S GOAL SENDS FRANCE INTO FINAL, DANIEL SCORES FOR ITALY U20S

Both of the Rossoneri players who took to the pitch yesterday got on the scoresheet: our report

On his second appearance for his National Team, he was decisive. Theo Hernández took centre stage in Belgium v France, scoring with a powerful left-footed effort in the 90th minute to send the French into Sunday’s UEFA Nations League final against Spain at San Siro. His goal gave France victory in a memorable encounter which saw Belgium head into the break two to the good thanks to Carrasco and Lukaku’s finishes. After the restart, the French responded in vehement fashion as Benzema, Mbappé and Theo got on the scoresheet. Maignan and Saelemaekers remained on the bench.

Daniel Maldini, who took to the pitch for Italy U20s against England in the European Elite League, also experienced goalscoring joy. In Chesterfield, Daniel found the net with a header to give Alberto Bollini’s side the lead in the 36th minute. The hosts then equalised five minutes later through Bate. Our No.27 has now scored twice in his last three matches in an Italy shirt.
