Italy ran out winners in their second Nations League: the Azzurri beat Hungary 2-1 in Cesena, in a match which saw Rossoneri representation on the pitch. Davide Calabria played the full 90 minutes and had a bright game on the right wing and even came close to scoring with a right-footed effort from distance in the second half. Sandro Tonali came on in the closing exchanges, with 6 minutes of play left. He replaced Barella, who opened the Azzurri's account on the night. It was Calabria's sixth appearance for the national side, but his first as a starter and Tonali made his tenth international appearance last night too.
Florenzi, Krunić, Lazetić and Tomori were all unused substitutes in last night's games. However, there was a third Rossoneri feature amidst the national team action yesterday; Fodé Ballo-Touré played 57 minutes in Senegal's 1-0 win over Rwanda in his side's 2023 AFCON qualifier.
