A tight win for France last night, who beat Greece at the Stade de France thanks to an Mbappé penalty at the second attempt. Both Maignan and Hernández started and finished the game, playing the entire 90 minutes. For Mike, making appearance number eight for the Bleus, it was his fourth consecutive clean sheet for the national side. Instead, Theo had a hand in the winning goal: his left-footed cross in led to the penalty that Griezmann won. At the end, there was also time for Olivier Giroud to play the final ten minutes. For France, in Group B in EURO 2024 qualification, it is now four wins out of four with nine goals scored and none conceded.
After two wins out of their first three qualifying games, Denmark were pegged back by Slovenia at home, drawing 1-1. Højlund's equalising goal cancelled out the Slovenian's opener scored by Sporar. Playing the full 90 minutes was Rossoneri defender Simon Kjær, who has now gone second in the all-time appearance list for his national team with 126 caps, alongside Dennis Rommedahl and closing in on Peter Schmeichel's 129.
