PORTUGAL OK WITH LEÃO, THIAW KO IN FRIENDLY

Three Rossoneri were in action on the final night of international fixtures in June. An important victory for Rafael Leão's Portugal, on the pitch for the full 90 minutes in their Euro 2024 qualifying Group J match against Iceland. In Reykjavík, Cristiano Ronaldo's goal was the deciding factor in the 1-0 final victory, leaving the Lusitanians in sole command of the group, with full points after four matches. Belgium were also victorious in Tallinn with a 3-0 win over Estonia, with Lukaku scoring twice and Bakayoko scoring in a match that saw Aster Vranckx, who scored the assist for the 1-0 opener, on the pitch for 57 minutes. Alexis Saelemaekers was on the bench for 90 minutes.

Second appearance in the senior national team for Aster, the same goal also reached by Malick Thiaw. The Rossoneri number 28 took the field as a starter in his Germany side's friendly against Colombia in Gelsenkirchen. The South Americans won the match 2-0, but Malick gave a good performance in which a great defensive action on Luis Díaz stood out.
