It was positive evening last night, Friday 8 September, for those Rossoneri players in Euro 2024 qualifying action. Both in Group J, Rade Krunić and Rafael Leão both won with their respective National teams. Rade's Bosnia hosted Liechtenstein in Zenica, winning 2-1: decisive were goals from Džeko and a Luchinger own-goal, while Wolfinger's finish only served to reduce the deficit after Bosnia took a two-goal lead. Rade lined up from the start and played practically the full game, eventually being replaced by Hamulić after 93'.
In the same group, Slovaki and Portugal met in Bratislava, with Roberto Martínez's Portuguese narrowly running out winners, winning 1-0 thanks to Bruno Fernandes' first-half strike. Like Krunić, the other Rossoneri Leão started the game from the first minute and was then substituted after an hour by Pedro Neto. Portugal top the group with 15 points, ahead of Slovakia and Luxembourg - both on ten points - and Bosnia on 6.
