OKAFOR AND KJÆR PLAY IN GOALLESS DRAW

On Saturday 23 March, Rossoneri duo Noah Okafor and Simon Kjær came up against each other as their respective countries played out an uneventful draw. Both the Swiss and Dane started the match before being replaced just after the hour mark, with the latter coming off as a precaution. Noah tried to add energy to Switzerland’s attack, while Simon led Denmark’s three-man defence in his usual experienced manner. In the end, 0-0 was the right result. Meanwhile, many French starters were rested for their friendly against Germany, including Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernández, both of whom came on in the 61st minute, and Maignan, who didn’t play.
It's now two wins in two in the Elite Round of Euro qualifying for Italy U19s, for whom Kevin Zeroli produced another convincing performance. The Azzurrini beat the Czech Republic and sit top of their group on six points. Kevin was once again a key figure, while Davide Bartesaghi remained on the bench. It was a different story for Jan-Carlo Simić, who started at centre-back in Serbia U19s’ 4-1 defeat to Portugal.
