MODRIC AND LOFTUS-CHEEK ON THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE

The second international break of the season is underway, with two AC Milan players in action on Thursday night: Luka Modrić and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

No rest for Luka, already a key figure in Allegri’s Milan this season. The Croatian captain played the full 90 minutes in Prague as the Czech Republic and Croatia shared a 0-0 draw in World Cup 2026 qualifying. Despite several good chances, the stalemate leaves Croatia level at the top of Group L with the Czechs on 13 points, but with a game in hand.

Ruben featured for 25 minutes in England’s friendly against Wales at Wembley, which ended 3-0 to the hosts. The result was wrapped up in the first half thanks to goals from Rogers, Watkins and Saka, with the Three Lions comfortably managing proceedings after the break.
