It was a disappointing draw for Belgium, who were held at 1-1 away at Kazakhstan, despite the hosts going down to ten men late on, as the Red Devils were unable to make use of their one-man advantage. A victory would have seen Belgium qualify for next summer's World Cup, but they will have the chance to do so on Tuesday night against Liechtenstein, which should be a formality on paper. Head coach Rudi Garcia gave Koni De Winter the full 90 minutes, while Alexis Saelemaekers came on in the 71st minute and tried to up the intensity as Belgium chased the result.
