GIMENEZ, MAIGNAN AND RABIOT INTO THE ROUND OF 16

It was a huge victory for France and our very own Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot as they won 3-0 against Sweden in the Round of 32 and progressed to the next round. In New York, the French side secured victory thanks to a brace from Kylian Mbappé and a goal from Barcola, with both Rossoneri players playing the full 90 minutes. France will now face Paraguay on 4 July in Philadelphia, with Paraguay having qualified for the round of 16 after beating Germany on penalties.
It was another win for hosts Mexico, who move into the next round thanks to a 2-0 victory over Ecuador, once again keeping a clean sheet in the tournament. Santi Gimenez came on in the 74th minute, while Pervis Estupiñan was an unused substitute. Mexico now have the Round of 16 ahead of them against the winner of England vs. Democratic Republic of Congo.
