AC MILAN TO LAUNCH MILAN JUNIOR CAMPS IN CANADA THIS SUMMER

AC Milan will visit five Canadian cities this summer with the Milan Junior Camps

AC Milan is getting ready to launch its Milan Junior Camps in five cities in Canada this summer. Starting from Toronto, passing through Québec and the capital Ottawa, five Canadian cities will host the Milan Academy Junior Camps during the summer period:

  • Toronto: 3-7 July - The Hangar Sports
  • Ottawa: 10-14 July - Millenium Sports Park
  • Montreal: 17-21 July - Parc Charbonneau-Rosemere
  • Québec City: 24-28 July - Complexe Sportif Desjardins-SSF
  • Kitchener: 31 July - 4 August - Eastwood Collegiate Institute

The Milan Junior Camps are an extraordinary opportunity for girls and boys aged 6 to 16 who love football or who want to approach this sport for the first time. They are given the chance to play Milan and experience the methodology of one of the world’s most successful clubs. During the camps, children also have the opportunity to learn the positive values of sports and of the Rossoneri Club, including respect for rules, teamwork, inclusivity and sharing a common passion.

Adding new territories to the already extensive list of countries that are part of the Milan Academy Junior Camps is another piece that confirms the Club's desire to have an increasingly international impact. Starting with the sharing of the values that characterize the Milan Method, whose primary purpose is to promote the general well-being of the young athlete and acquire technical-tactical, motor, and socio-relational skills specific to the sport, in order to develop the young person as a whole and leave a tangible mark on the territory.

Following the principles of the Milan Method, Davide Battistini, Milan Academy Coach, will coordinate and directly train the local staff of the camps on-site with passion and competence. The staff will then follow the daily training sessions with children based on the training methodologies of the Rossoneri Youth Sector, which will be adapted to the context, age, and level of each young player.

Franco Baresi, Honorary Vice President of AC Milan, said: "The Milan Academy Junior Camps represent the perfect synthesis between the game of football and the values that characterise the Milan Method. The heart of this initiative lies in the sharing of these values, which are a fundamental pillar of the Rossoneri culture. The Club's goal, on a global level, is to leave an important imprint on the personal development of the children and young people who will participate in our camps, offering a unique educational experience to shape the citizens of tomorrow."

The Milan Junior Camps further strengthen the Club's presence in a country where, according to a Nielsen study, the Rossoneri already have about 3 million fans. Taking the entire North American continent into account, the number exceeds 45 million fans, confirming a strong bond with a strategic territory for the Club. A bond also demonstrated, among other things, by the innovative partnership with the New York Yankees – which brought together two of the most iconic sports brands in the world - and recently reinforced by the announcement of the participation of the First Men's Team in the Soccer Champions Tour 2023, which will take place in the United States between the end of July and the beginning of August.

The presence in the strategic North American market will provide the Club with an opportunity to continue the growth path of the Club off the pitch and to strengthen the positive perception of the AC Milan brand at an international level. For the organization of the five Canadian camps, the Club has worked together with Kaptiva Sports Inc. – a company with experience in sports marketing and the organization of international sports events – this year the official partner of Milan Academy.
