MILAN FUTURO v LEON: MATCH PREVIEW

First matchday rescheduled: the first game at Chinetti in Serie D after the win over Pavia

The first matchday of Serie D has been rescheduled: at the Felice Chinetti in Solbiate Arno, Milan Futuro face Leon to catch up on Group B's schedule after already playing their opening fixture against Pavia. It's an important match to find rhythm and take home three points. Let's take a look at the match with our Match Preview:

MILAN FUTURO'S SETUP
Massimo Oddo's
squad go into this fixture with clear objectives: focusing on fundamentals like coordinated pressing, vertical play build-up, width from the full-backs, and converting possession into goals. The 4-3-3  remains the default setup, with Mezzali, like Hodzic and Branca, consistently making forward runs to add numbers between the lines and attack the opponent's penalty area. The opening match against Pavia consisted of a slow first half and a stronger second, and so a sharper start will be key to being more dominant right from the beginning, an approach that was the case in their two Serie D Coppa Italia matches.

LEON'S SETUP
The Leon side, who played against  Virtus CiseranoBergamo proved to be an organised and efficient team: a compact mid-low block, short lines, and quick vertical transitions. Their 4-3-1-2 setup works well with the pressure they play on the opponent's build-up with aggressive challenges on the ball carrier. For the Brianza side, returning to Serie D, Recino's experience and Mascheroni's versatility are their strongest weapons.
