MILAN FUTURO v PAVIA: MATCH PREVIEW

Rossoneri face Pavia for their first game of 2026 at Solbiate, aiming to extend their streak

Milan Futuro will host Pavia on Sunday 11 January at 14:30 CET at the Felice Chinetti in Solbiate Arno, on Matchday 19 of Serie D, Group B. After an impressive performance in Vimercate, a 0-3 win over Leon, Oddo’s side will be looking for consistency as they continue their push towards the top of the table and kick off the new year in front of their home fans. Let's take a closer look at the fixture in the Match Preview.

LATEST FROM MILAN FUTURO
The team currently sit fourth in the table on 31 points, five behind leaders Folgore Caratese, and arrive with growing confidence. The players are learning to bring the right level of physicality in both phases, move the ball more cleanly and show greater presence in the opposition box. Against Leon in Vimercate, the side displayed solidity and quality when changing temp; positive signs that now need to be confirmed against an opponent playing for a lot at this stage of the season. Close attention will be paid to the management of players one booking away from suspension, Victor Eletu and Emanuele Sala. Bonomi remains sidelined as he continues his recovery. The reverse fixture in Pavia ended in a 2-1 comeback win, a useful reference point in terms of approach and focus.

LATEST FROM PAVIA
Pavia, now coached by Antonio Filippini after taking over in October, are searching for crucial survival points following two consecutive home defeats, 2-0 against Chievo and 3-1 to Caldiero. They have been winless since November 2, 2025, when they claimed a surprising 4-0 home victory over Villa Valle. Their league position remains difficult, sitting second from bottom on 12 points, but the squad still has a few interesting weapons. With top scorer Alfiero having moved on to Vado, Alessio Quaggio is now the main forward, while in midfield Pietro Itraloni’s late runs into the box are one to watch. Filippini’s side are still shaping their tactical identity, switching fluidly between a back three and a back four. A cautious approach in defensive coverage and a focus on set-piece situations can be expected.
