A special occasion to see many former champions back on the pitch and representing two historic clubs. At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Spurs Legends defeated Milan Glorie in an afternoon full of goals and entertainment where the final scoreline - 6-2 in favour of the hosts - is just a footnote. The many fans who filled the stadium also contributed to a good cause, supporting the charitable initiatives of both clubs (in our case, Sport for Change by Fondazione Milan), and got to admire some impressive pieces of play. It’s an event that Rossoneri fans can relive in full on the AC Milan Official App.

Although the final result favoured Spurs, who fielded a "younger" team and had more options from the bench, the goal of the match was undoubtedly scored by Andrea Pirlo: the former Rossoneri No.21 found the net with a trademark curling free-kick that left the goalkeeper with no chance. Christian Zaccardo also got on the scoresheet for Milan Glorie following some fantastic wing play by Marcos Cafu. For Spurs, fan favourite Robbie Keane stole the show with a hat-trick. Everyone should be applauded for a fantastic day where a lot of good was done.

    MATCH REPORT
The hosts made a bright start, with Defoe and Lennon looking in particularly good shape. Spurs took a ninth-minute lead as Lennon ran down the flank and rolled the ball across for Keane to convert from close range. Tottenham's second arrived five minutes later through Defoe, who beat Dida at his near-post with a low right-footed strike. The Rossoneri threatened through Pirlo and Fuser, but the English side netted a third through Keane after 19 minutes. Milan Glorie's first big chance came in the 22nd minute as Gomes produced a fine save to thwart Giunti. Tottenham added two more goals before the break, with Sandro firing home (34') and Keane completing his hat-trick (40'). At the other end, there were two good opportunities for Ricardo Oliveira.

The two coaches turned to their benches at half-time, and Cafu had two chances to pull one back: the Brazilian shot narrowly wide (50') and also tested Vorm with a cross-shot (53'). The full-back was then involved in a deserved goal for the Rossoneri: his cross was finished off by Zaccardo to make it 5-1. In the 77th minute, Tottenham scored a sixth through a right-footed effort from Brown. After an attempt from Serginho, a moment of magic arrived: Andrea Pirlo stepped up to fire a brilliant free-kick into the top corner from around 25 yards out. There were late chances at either end - Jankulovski and Falco almost got on the scoresheet - before the full-time whistle, after which it was time for photos and autographs with the fans.
