A ramshackle but tough AC Milan side returned to winning ways in the league thanks to a 2-1 home win over Bologna. Goals from Suso in the first half and Borini in the second allowed Gennaro Gattuso's side to claim three points again after slipping up against Parma and Torino. It was a win of vital importance as the team showed great spirit, especially considering the injuries suffered by Biglia and Calhanoglu before going a man down when Paquetá was sent off. The three points were won in front of 51,472 fans at San Siro and they send Milan up to fifth on 59 points, chasing Inter on 63 and Atalanta on 62 in the race for Champions League football. Togetherness and belief, we go again from this. The next match is at 20:30 CEST on Saturday 11th May when the Diavolo will face Fiorentina in Florence.

REPORT
Milan threatened in the tenth minute through Calhanoglu who forced a great save from Skorupski with his effort from the edge of the area. Three minutes later, Musacchio was unable to convert from Suso's cross after the goalkeeper came off his line to claim but was left empty-handed. Bologna had a big chance in the 14th minute but Donnarumma was excellent to deny Orsolini from close range. In the 27th minute, Palacio found the net on the break but it was ruled out for offside. In the 37th minute, Suso broke the deadlock with a placed effort from just inside the box and it was the Spaniard's sixth goal of the season. In the 41st minute, the Rossoneri had a chance to extend the lead with Piatek's shot from inside the area but Skorupski was equal to it. Like in the first half, Calhanoglu was the first to go close in the second when his attempt in the 52nd minute went just over. The Diavolo stepped things up and made it two in the 67th minute when Borini was there to pounce on Skorupski's save from a Paquetá cracker. In the 72nd minute, Bologna came back into the game as Destro controlled the ball in the box before firing past Donnarumma. Soon after, Paquetá was sent off in the 74th minute and the Rossoneri were down to ten. After getting through five minutes of stoppage time, Milan were able to celebrate a return to winning ways.
