AC Milan's positive form continued this evening as Coach Pioli's men ran out 1-0 winners against Brescia on matchday 21 in Serie A. It was far from easy at the Rigamonti, with the Rossoneri being forced to dig in for long spells of the game. However, the team were able to stay in the match and strike the decisive blow through Ante Rebić who, just like in AC Milan's home success against Udinese, came off the bench and made the difference. Following this win (the Rossoneri's fourth consecutive victory in all competitions), the Diavolo sit in sixth on 31 points as they await the results from the games that will be played on Saturday and Sunday. Next up for AC Milan in the league is a home clash against Verona (Sunday at 15:00 CET), but Torino will be the visitors to San Siro (Tuesday at 21:00 CET) in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia before this.

MATCH REPORT
Coach Pioli stuck to a 4-4-2 formation this evening and selected Leão and Ibrahimović up front. In the opening exchanges, Zlatan's header had to be clawed out by Joronen. Brescia responded and raised the tempo around the half-hour mark, with Donnarumma being forced to get down low to keep out Aye's headed effort. The Rossoneri then had the best chance of the opening period with 40 minutes on the clock, but Ibra was unable to convert from close range after Hernández had rolled the ball across the box. Brescia went on the attack at the start of the second period and came inches away from scoring through Torregrossa, whose acrobatic volley skimmed the upright. A few minutes later, the impressive Gigio thwarted Bisoli. Donnarumma then came to the rescue again between minutes 57 and 59 as he saved two Torregrossa efforts. With AC Milan having survived multiple scares, a powerful Çalhanoğlu strike flashed just wide of the far post after 65 minutes. The Rossoneri broke the deadlock in the 71st minute as Ante Rebić turned the ball home from just a few yards out. Brescia then poured forward in search of an equaliser, but the Diavolo could have made it two late on when Hernández smashed the bar following a great solo run. It was the last big chance of the match as the Rossoneri came away with the spoils.
