DECISIVE GOAL FROM LEÃO AGAINST LAZIO

The Rossoneri claim a 1-0 win and extend their unbeaten run to 13 games in all comps

AC Milan continued their unbeaten run in Serie A with a narrow 1-0 win over Lazio on matchday 13. The decisive goal came from Rafael Leão, who caught onto the Fikayo Tomori’s assist to put the ball in the back of the net. With this win, the Rossoneri currently sit top of the table with 28 points, one ahead of Roma. Allegri's side showed their character and defensive solidity once again as they recorded their seventh clean sheet of the season.

The match was hard-fought, the Rossoneri managed to control possession and create different goalscoring opportunities. The Rossoneri's defence, led by an alert Maignan, contained Lazio's reaction following Rafa's goal in the 51st minute. The Portuguese international bagged his fifth goal of the season, before an hectic final few minutes which saw Allegri sent off, before a VAR check by Collu. In a tense and hard-fought match, the team demonstrated personality and determination. Keep going, Rossoneri, let's continue to fight.

MATCH REPORT
It was an intense start to the first half, as both sides tried to gain the ascendency. Lazio had a huge early chance, as Maignan produced a stunning stop to keep out Gila's headed effort. AC Milan responded with a Saelemaekers shot, which was blocked by the Lazio defence. The game was balanced, with few clear-cut chances to score. Tomori, who picked up a booking on 26 minutes for a foul on Zaccagni, came close with a volleyed attempt from the edge of the area that went wide.

After the break, AC Milan came out with renewed determination and took the lead through Leão, who finished a great move that was conducted by Fofana and Tomori. Lazio tried to react, but the Rossoneri's defence held firm. In the 63rd minute, Provedel denied Rafa what would have been his and AC Milan's second. Allegri then sent on fresh legs in the centre of the park in the form of Loftus-Cheek and Ricci. It was a controversial conclusion to proceedings, as Collu went to VAR to check a potential penalty for handball committed by Pavlović, who, as it turned out, had been fouled. No penalty, but Massimiliano Allegri saw red for dissent. Full-time after 114 minutes played.
